Sept 5 (Reuters) - Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has stepped down from his role after a two-year stint, the club said on Saturday, ending a short tenure in which he oversaw the difficult transition after the departure of former manager Juergen Klopp.
Hughes, who joined Liverpool from Bournemouth, informed the club's ownership of his desire to seek a new challenge after delivering the 2024-25 league title and Champions League qualification the following season.
