AsiaOne ranked sixth among Singapore’s 10 most improved brands in YouGov’s Singapore Most Recommended Brands 2026 report , with its positive Recommended score rising 7.6 percentage points year on year.

Based on YouGov's BrandIndex data collected between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026, AsiaOne’s score among its current customers rose to 39.6 per cent, up from 32 per cent a year earlier.

"Scoring a 7.6-point increase to rank sixth on the list of '10 most improved brands' is an affirmation from our audience on the content we serve," shared AsiaOne's CEO Sean Ler.

"AsiaOne philosophy is to be 'Off Centre, On Trend', bringing content and information to our audiences in accurate and relatable ways.

"Despite not being government-funded, AsiaOne overcomes its resourcing issue by looking hard at the data from the consumption patterns and habits of our audiences. This, in turn, allows us to focus on delivering what matters," he added.

Singtel TV topped the same list with a rise of 11.9 percentage points, followed by Today and Singtel Broadband. Technology and digital products dominated the list, with Oppo, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ and Starhub Broadband also appearing among the top 10.

How YouGov ranks brands

YouGov’s most improved rankings measure year-on-year increase in a brand’s positive Recommended score among its current customers.

Brands were ranked in the report based on index scores, with metrics measuring brand impression, quality, value, satisfaction, reputation and recommend, i.e. “Would people recommend the brand to others?”

The report covered five markets: Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Its data comes from BrandIndex, YouGov’s brand health tracker, which is powered by more than 30 million panel members and tracks 16 brand health metrics.

Among the list of top brands in Singapore were Singapore Airlines, Louis Vuitton, Amazon Prime and Apple.

AsiaOne’s increased trust and reach

The YouGov award follows AsiaOne’s improved showing in the Digital News Report 2026 , published on June 16 by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, in which its brand score rose to 63 per cent from 58 per cent a year earlier.

The Digital News Report is a comprehensive study of news consumption worldwide, measuring how much audiences trust a news brand. It was also reported that AsiaOne’s weekly online reach had increased to 18 per cent from 10 per cent.

"This recognition reflects a growing confidence from our readers in the news and content we deliver every day," said Desmond Ng, Assistant editor (News) at AsiaOne.

“Our approach is simple: we use audience research to understand changing reading habits, while maintaining high newsroom standards and focusing on what matters to our readers. While digital news demands speed, trust and credibility are key to building sustainable success in the long run. The team looks to continue refining our coverage to serve our readers better," he continued.
