Civil servants to get RM1,500 aid, pensioners RM750 under Budget 2027

In the 2027 Budget announcement, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed that 1.3 million civil servants in Grade Utama B and below will receive RM1,500 in special financial assistance.

Additionally, over one million government pensioners and 70,000 religious personnel, including KAFA teachers and imams, will receive RM750 each.

The payments will be disbursed in two instalments, one before Aidilfitri and another prior to Malaysia's 70th Merdeka anniversary.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 — A total of 1.3 million civil servants in Grade Utama B and below, including those on contract appointments, will receive RM1,500 in special financial assistance under Budget 2027.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also the finance minister, announced the assistance when tabling the Budget in the Dewan Rakyat today.

More than one million government pensioners, including pensionable and non-pensionable veterans, will also receive RM750 each.

The payments will be made in two instalments, with disbursements scheduled before Aidilfitri and ahead of the 70th anniversary of Merdeka.

Separately, the government will provide RM750 each to 70,000 religious personnel in recognition of their service.

The recipients include KAFA and takmir teachers, imams, bilals, tok siak, noja and marbut.
