Police car mounts kerb, crashes into road divider in Geylang Bahru

An officer is assisting with ongoing investigations after a police fast response car he was driving was involved in an accident on Saturday (Oct 10).

The incident happened at about 7.45am along Geylang Bahru Road towards Bendemeer Road.

Photos and videos circulating on social media show the vehicle mounted on a kerb beside a road divider along Geylang Bahru Road.

A section of the divider's green fencing appeared to have been knocked down.

Several officers were also seen at the scene.

In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police confirmed the incident.

A police spokesperson added that a 31-year-old male officer, who was the driver of the said vehicle, is assisting with ongoing investigations.

事件发生在早上7点45分左右，地点位于芽笼峇鲁路往明地迷亚路方向。

社交媒体上流传的照片和视频显示，这辆车被固定在芽笼峇鲁路路中央隔离带旁的路缘石上。

隔离带上的一段绿色围栏似乎被撞倒了。

现场还可以看到几名警员。

针对AsiaOne的询问，警方证实了这起事件。

警方发言人补充说，涉事车辆的驾驶员是一名 31 岁的男性警官，他正在协助进行调查。
