The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Royal Malaysia Police are jointly investigating My EG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad over an unremitted government revenue of RM314 million, initially reported on October 7.
The investigation follows Transport Minister Anthony Loke's revelations that these companies, acting as revenue collection agents, failed to deposit funds collected for vehicle-related fees into the government's account since May.
A post-dated cheque for RM231 million was halted, leading to a freeze on the companies' payment services and the transition of public transactions to direct government platforms.
MACC has pledged to conduct an independent investigation and urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified information.
PUTRAJAYA, Oct 13 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has stepped into the controversy surrounding My EG Sdn Bhd (MyEG) and Zetrix AI Berhad, joining an active police investigation following an official complaint over RM314 million in unremitted government revenue.
In a statement today, the anti-graft agency confirmed that the formal report was lodged on Oct 7, noting that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are already investigating the matter under penal laws.
“Accordingly, MACC will cooperate closely with PDRM to examine and carry out information sharing in investigating this matter, based on offences under the jurisdiction of the police,” the commission said.
Should indicators of corruption, bribery, or abuse of power emerge during police inquiries, the relevant files will be transferred to the commission for immediate enforcement action.
The commission also urged anyone with credible information on the transactions to come forward, while advising the public against circulating unverified speculation that could compromise the integrity of the investigation.
“MACC stresses that it will not compromise and will conduct its investigation independently, fairly and in accordance with the law,” the statement said.
The commission did not reveal the specific identity of the complainant or the detailed charges outlined in the document.
Unremitted collections and halted post-dated cheques
The regulatory clampdown follows revelations by Transport Minister Anthony Loke on Oct 5 that both concessionaires owe the federal government RM314 million in unremitted public revenue collected from road users since May.
Loke clarified that the funds, collected for vehicle road tax, driving licences, and traffic summonses, were never deposited into the Transport Ministry’s primary account, dismissing earlier claims that the arrears dated back three years. Zetrix AI was formerly known as My E.G. Services Berhad.
According to Loke, the ministry and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) held four consultative meetings with stakeholders, including the Ministry of Finance, and issued 35 formal demand notices since May.
While the companies submitted an RM231 million cheque on Aug 21 post-dated to Sept 30, the payment was subsequently stopped upon presentation on the companies’ instructions.
The default prompted the Transport Ministry and JPJ to freeze all payment gateway services through MyEG and Zetrix AI until the full RM314 million is recovered.
Loke said that the companies functioned purely as revenue collection agents and that the money belongs to the Malaysian public, adding that the government is preparing civil legal action to recover the debt.
Public transactions have since transitioned to direct government platforms, including the MyJPJ mobile app, the official JPJ portal, physical service counters, and digital kiosks.

Zetrix AI的前身是My EG Services Berhad。
