All public healthcare services affected by system disruptions earlier on Tuesday (Oct 13) have been fully restored, national health technology agency Synapxe said.

Singapore's three public healthcare clusters — NHG Health, National University Healthcare System (NUHS), and SingHealth — had all experienced connectivity issues to varying degrees since Tuesday morning.

In a follow-up statement at about 5.40pm, Synapxe said services began to be progressively restored from about 3pm, with all affected services fully restored by 4.37pm.

According to the agency, the disruption, which began at about 7.10am, was caused by a technical issue affecting network connectivity.

The issue resulted in disruptions to some services across the public healthcare clusters, including patient-facing services such as appointment bookings through call centres, visitor registration and billing enquiries.

"During the disruption, patients and visitors at some public healthcare institutions experienced longer waiting times for certain services.

"Our teams worked closely with the public healthcare clusters to restore affected services as quickly as possible."

Synapxe also reiterated that there is currently no indication that the disruption was due to a cyber incident , adding that investigations into the technical issue are ongoing.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank patients, visitors and healthcare staff for their patience and understanding," the agency added.
