KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 — The Kuala Lumpur Road Transport Department (JPJ) generated RM376,091 from its Public Auction of Seized Vehicles (Series 2/2026), conducted through the JPJvBID system.

Its director, Hamidi Adam, said 120 of the 157 vehicles offered were successfully auctioned, surpassing the results of the previous auction series.

In addition to the proceeds from vehicle bids, RM34,650 was generated from the sale of 693 e-catalogues, while auction fees amounted to RM7,400 from 740 payment transactions recorded throughout the auction period.

“The highest bid was RM73,333 for a Toyota Alphard, while the lowest was RM101 for a Yamaha Lagenda that could not be licensed for road use as it was classified as a scrap vehicle,” he said in a statement today.

Hamidi said the results reflected the effectiveness of the JPJvBID system as a transparent, efficient and accessible digital auction platform.

He added that Kuala Lumpur JPJ remained committed to enhancing efficient, transparent and customer-oriented service delivery in line with the public service’s digital transformation agenda. — Bernama
