A woman is offering a $1,000 reward to recover her two beloved soft toys after they went missing while she was cycling home.

In a Reddit post on Monday (Oct 12), her friend shared that the toys were lost on the night of Oct 10.

"A friend has lost a pair of small plushies of great sentimental value while cycling home.. Right now she has put a reward down of $1,000 for anyone who might find or return them," the post read.

The post identified the two plushies as "Mousey" and "Snoopey", with Mousey having been with the owner for 20 years.

Speaking to 8days, the owner, who goes by the name Skylar, said she was cycling home from Funan with the plushies when they went missing.

She only realised they were missing the following day, just before she was about to leave home.

The plushies were reportedly last seen around Sir Arthur's Bridge or Sunset Bridge between 11.30 pm and 1 am.

Over the next three days, Skylar retraced her route by bicycle, car and on foot in the hope of finding them.

"The full path has been retraced about one to two times meticulously, with some areas being retraced four times," she said.

Skylar also shared that one of the plushies had an AirTag tucked into its harness.

But the tracker's battery had died weeks before the toy went missing, making the search more difficult, as its last recorded location was from several weeks earlier.

She also approached shop owners and customer service counters along the route, leaving her contact details in case anyone handed in the plushies.

Her search extended to the relevant town councils, PUB, NParks and the Land Transport Authority.

AsiaOne has reached out to Skylar for more information.
