Kajang cops nab foreign woman after car chase ends in crash, 2.13g syabu found in her Honda City

A foreign woman was arrested in Kajang, Malaysia, after police seized 2.13 grams of suspected methamphetamine from her vehicle, which had fled a police checkpoint and was involved in an accident.

The driver, a foreign man, escaped, while the woman was detained for lacking valid travel documents.

The case is under investigation for multiple offenses, including drug possession and immigration violations, and police are seeking public assistance to locate the fugitive driver.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 — A foreign woman was arrested after police seized three transparent plastic packets containing crystalline powder suspected to be syabu (methamphetamine), weighing 2.13 grammes, from the vehicle she was travelling in at Jalan Reko, Kajang near here yesterday.

Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the woman was arrested after the white Honda City she was travelling in with a foreign man fled police check at about 6.15pm.

He said personnel from the Mobile Patrol Vehicle (MPV) Unit of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division (BPJKK), Kajang District Police Headquarters (IPD), ordered the vehicle to stop for an inspection, but the male driver refused to comply before fleeing towards Semenyih.

The vehicle then entered the SILK Highway (Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway) heading towards Jalan Reko and is believed to have been driven dangerously before being involved in an accident with a civilian vehicle.

“Police successfully intercepted the vehicle near the Jalan Reko traffic light intersection. However, the male driver managed to escape, while the woman in the front passenger seat was apprehended,” he said in a statement yesterday.

He said the woman also failed to produce valid travel documents and had been remanded for four days. The vehicle was also seized to assist in the investigation.

“The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code, Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63. Investigations related to the road accident are also being conducted under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.

Naazron said police were currently tracking down the driver who fled, while further investigations were being conducted to identify the ownership of the seized drugs.

他说，加影警区总部（IPD）犯罪预防和社区安全部门（BPJKK）机动巡逻车（MPV）小组的人员命令该车辆停车接受检查，但男司机拒绝配合，然后逃往士毛月方向。
