A 19-year-old female driver crashed through a centre divider at the junction of Tampines Street 96 and Bedok Reservoir Road on Tuesday (Oct 20) evening.

Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the accident at about 7.15pm.

In response to AsiaOne's queries, SCDF said it assessed one person for minor injuries, but the person declined to be taken to hospital.

The police were subsequently alerted at 7.20pm to the accident.

According to the police, the car was believed to have self-skidded along Tampines Street 96, towards Tampines Avenue 1.

The 19-year-old driver is currently assisting the police with investigations.

Footage shared on Xiaohongshu showed a grey car partially mounted on the centre divider, with the metal railings beneath it flattened and damaged.

Debris could also be seen near the traffic junction, where multiple SCDF and police officers were attending to the scene.
