Suspect arrested after body of missing woman found in cafe freezer

PAJU — Police said Monday they have arrested a suspect after discovering the body of a woman who had gone missing inside a freezer at a cafe in the northern city of Paju.

Police said they received the missing report on the woman, in her 60s, in Seoul early Friday. They traced her whereabouts and located her body inside the refrigerated container at the Paju cafe later the same day.

Police then arrested the man operating the cafe as the suspect on Friday in Seoul. They believe the man, whose identity was withheld, locked the woman inside the freezer, and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

坡州——警方周一表示，他们在北部城市坡州一家咖啡馆的冰柜里发现了一名失踪女性的尸体，并逮捕了一名嫌疑人。

警方称，他们于周五清晨接到首尔一名60多岁女子失踪的报案。当天晚些时候，警方追踪到她的行踪，并在坡州一家咖啡馆的冷藏集装箱内发现了她的遗体。

警方随后于周五在首尔逮捕了经营这家咖啡馆的男子，并将其列为嫌疑人。警方认为，这名身份尚未公开的男子将女子锁在了冰柜里，目前正在调查事件的具体情况。
