KOTA TINGGI, Oct 27 — A Felda settler was hacked to death with an axe in an alleged violent rampage at Felda Lok Heng Selatan here last night.
The incident is understood to have occurred at about 7.30pm after the male suspect allegedly ran amok near his residence.
Armed with an axe, the suspect attacked the victim by the roadside.
The incident drew the attention of other residents before the suspect fled on a motorcycle.
Kota Tinggi police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said police were investigating the incident.
He said police would issue an official statement on the incident today.

哥打丁宜，10月27日讯——昨晚，在哥打丁宜的Felda Lok Heng Selatan，一名Felda定居者在一场据称的暴力袭击中被斧头砍死。
据了解，事件发生在晚上 7 点 30 分左右，当时这名男性嫌疑人据称在其住所附近横冲直撞。
嫌犯手持斧头，在路边袭击了受害者。
事件发生后引起了其他居民的注意，嫌疑人随后骑摩托车逃离现场。
哥打丁宜警察局长尤索夫·奥斯曼警司表示，警方正在调查这起事件。
他说，警方今天将就此事发表正式声明。
