Special delivery? Man nabbed over cannabis and drug-laced vapes at Kelantan courier outlet

KOTA BHARU, Oct 28 — The General Operations Force (GOF) arrested a man, 30, in the parking lot of the Rantau Panjang Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex early yesterday to assist investigations into a drug seizure at a courier premises in Rantau Panjang, Pasir Mas, on Sunday.

GOF Tenggara Brigade Commander Datuk Ahmad Radzi Hussain said the suspect is believed to be linked to the seizure of three kilogrammes of cannabis, 56 grammes of cannabis flowers and 10 boxes of electronic cigarettes containing cannabis oil at a Line Clear Express courier premises.

The suspect also pointed out a silver Toyota Camry believed to be used for illicit activities located five metres from where he was arrested and claimed that he was contacted by an individual to help send packages to the courier premises.

“Checks of the suspect’s body did not lead to the discovery of anything illegal, but the suspect tested positive for amphetamine,” he said in a statement yesterday, adding that the car worth RM50,000 was seized.

The suspect was arrested under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and was handed over to the Pasir Mas district police headquarters narcotics crime investigations department for further investigation, he added. — Bernama

哥打巴鲁，10 月 28 日讯——为协助调查周日发生在巴西马兰道班让一家快递公司发生的毒品查获案，普通行动部队（GOF）昨日清晨在兰道班让移民、海关、检疫和安全（ICQS）大楼停车场逮捕了一名 30 岁男子。

GOF Tenggara 旅指挥官 Datuk Ahmad Radzi Hussain 表示，该嫌疑人被认为与在 Line Clear Express 快递公司查获的 3 公斤大麻、56 克大麻花和 10 盒含有大麻油的电子烟有关。

嫌疑人还指认了一辆据信用于非法活动的银色丰田凯美瑞，该车位于他被捕地点五米处。他声称有人联系他，让他帮忙将包裹寄送到快递公司。

“对嫌疑人身体的检查没有发现任何非法物品，但嫌疑人安非他明检测呈阳性，”他在昨天的一份声明中说，并补充说，价值 5 万令吉的汽车已被扣押。

他补充说，嫌疑人已根据1952年《危险药物法令》第39B条被捕，并被移交给巴西马警区总部毒品犯罪调查部门作进一步调查。——马新社
