“如果我明天就死了,那也没关系”:香港电视剧女王宣萱畅谈生死,以及无悔人生

HONG KONG, Oct 29 — If she were to die tomorrow, Jessica Hsuan would have no regrets.

The 56-year-old Hong Kong actress shared her views on mortality in an interview with As One on October 23, saying: “I have a very open-minded view on life and death.

“Every now and then, I’d ask myself, ‘If I suddenly leave tomorrow, is it okay?’ And my answer is okay, because I felt I had already done a lot of things I wanted to do.”

She has come to terms with death after experiencing losses in her family, including her father and pet dogs, over the years.

Jessica shared that her father, who was in his 90s, died in his sleep at home.

While she was caught off guard by his sudden demise, she began to accept it after changing her perspective on the matter.

“It was a kind of blessing [for him]. He was able to leave in his sleep, that’s what I hope for myself too...” she said.

“He was over 90 years old, and had already done and taught us many things. He had a good quality of life, that was most important to me.”

Jessica believes that it is important to be content with what she has.

As many things in the world “can be taken away at any time”, she feels that there is no need to get too attached to them.

Cherishing the present and having a clear conscience are part of her attitude towards life, she shared. — AsiaOne
