Tok Mat to lead Malaysia’s delegation to CHOGM 2026 in Antigua and Barbuda

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 1 — Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan will lead Malaysia’s delegation to the 28th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2026) and related meetings in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, from November 1 to 4.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry, also known as Wisma Putra, said CHOGM 2026, themed “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth”, will bring together Heads of State/Government and Ministers from 56 Commonwealth Member States.

“The Foreign Minister will participate in a series of high-level meetings and hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts. Discussions will focus on strengthening South-South Cooperation, narrowing the global development gap and fostering trade and investment among Commonwealth countries,” the statement read.

Wisma Putra said Malaysia’s participation in CHOGM 2026 reaffirms the Government’s commitment to promoting the principles and values enshrined in the Commonwealth Charter and strengthening cooperation among Member States. — Bernama

外交部（又称Wisma Putra）在一份声明中表示，以“加速伙伴关系和投资，共建繁荣的英联邦”为主题的2026年英联邦政府首脑会议（CHOGM 2026）将汇聚来自56个英联邦成员国的国家元首/政府首脑和部长。

声明称：“外交部长将参加一系列高级别会议，并与各国对口官员举行双边会晤。讨论将重点放在加强南南合作、缩小全球发展差距以及促进英联邦国家间的贸易和投资上。”

马来西亚外交部表示，马来西亚参与2026年英联邦政府首脑会议，重申了政府致力于促进《英联邦宪章》所载原则和价值观，并加强成员国之间合作的承诺。——马新社
