Telok Blangah murder: Man charged with killing 73-year-old taken back to crime scene

A man charged with murdering an elderly man at the void deck of a Telok Blangah HDB block was taken back to the alleged crime scene on Monday (Nov 2) morning.

Gabriel Foong Shi Cheng, 32, was on Oct 7 charged with one count of murder for causing the death of 73-year-old Tham Nam Poh at about 6pm on Oct 5.

The incident allegedly took place at the void deck of Block 57, Telok Blangah Heights.

Officers responding to the incident then found a 73-year-old Chinese man lying motionless on the ground floor, while a 53-year-old Chinese man was also found injured.

Both men were taken to the hospital where the older man later died .

Foong arrived back at the block at about 9.15am and was escorted by six police investigators.

Dressed in a red polo shirt and navy blue shorts, he was restrained at his wrists and ankles as he recounted the events of that day.

Police investigators escorted him along the length of the first-floor void deck.

At times, they stopped as investigators pointed to spots marked by evidence markers.

As he responded, investigators were seen taking notes, while crime scene specialists photographed the scene for documentation.

Foong kept his head up throughout the scene revisit but appeared somber and serious.

The revisit lasted about 10 minutes, after which Foong was led away in an unmarked police vehicle.

He will appear in court again on Nov 4.

在他做出反应时，调查人员正在做笔记，而犯罪现场专家则在拍摄现场照片以作记录。

在重温场景的过程中，冯始终保持着昂首挺胸的姿态，但神情却显得忧郁而严肃。

这次重访持续了大约 10 分钟，之后 Foong 被一辆没有标记的警车带走。

他将于11月4日再次出庭。
