Thundery showers over many areas of Singapore on Nov 2 afternoon

Heavy rain is expected over many areas of Singapore on Monday (Nov 2) afternoon.

In a heavy rain warning issued at 1.55pm, the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) said moderate to heavy thundery showers are expected over many areas of Singapore between 2pm and 3pm.

Checks on MSS' weather radar shows rain clouds over the western, central and eastern regions of Singapore.

National water agency, PUB, has issued risk of flash flood alerts for the following areas:

Lorong Kismis and Kismis place junction (till 3.19pm)

Lorong Gambir (till 3.24pm)

Bukit Timah Road, near King Albert Park (till 3.24pm)

In its fortnightly weather outlook for the first half of November issued on Oct 29 , the National Environment Agency said moderate to heavy thundery showers are expected over parts of the island on most days, with the showers extending into the evening on a few days.

Meanwhile, the haze situation is expected to be contained or localised till Wednesday.

新加坡气象局 (MSS) 于下午 1 点 55 分发布暴雨警告，称下午 2 点至 3 点之间，新加坡许多地区预计将出现中到大雷阵雨。

MSS的天气雷达显示，新加坡西部、中部和东部地区上空有雨云。

国家水务局（PUB）已对以下地区发布山洪暴发风险警报：

Lorong Kismis 和 Kismis place 交汇处（截至下午 3.19）

甘比尔巷（至下午3点24分）

武吉知马路，靠近国王阿尔伯特公园（至下午3点24分）

国家环境局在 10 月 29 日发布的 11 月上半月两周天气预报中表示，预计岛上大部分地区大部分时间将出现中到大雷阵雨，部分日子阵雨将持续到晚上。

与此同时，预计雾霾情况将在周三之前得到控制或局限于局部地区。
