MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms and heavy rain to lash all 13 states, three Federal Territories until 7pm

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 — Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are forecast across all 13 states and three Federal Territories until 7pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In an advisory issued today, MetMalaysia said the adverse weather is expected across all of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Selangor, and Melaka, as well as the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

In Perak, the affected areas include Kampar, Kinta, Kuala Kangsar, Hulu Perak, Selama, Perak Tengah, Hilir Perak, Bagan Datuk, Kerian, Larut, Matang, and Manjung.

Similar conditions are forecast in the East Coast states of Kelantan (Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, and Jeli), Terengganu (Kemaman, Dungun, and Hulu Terengganu), and Pahang (Kuantan, Pekan, Jerantut, Maran, Rompin, and Cameron Highlands).

In Negeri Sembilan, the warning covers Tampin, Rembau, Port Dickson, and Seremban, while in Johor, the affected districts are Pontian, Johor Bahru, Kulai, Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Segamat.

In Sarawak, the areas involved are Kuching, Samarahan, Betong, Mukah, Bintulu, Sibu, Serian, Limbang, Sarikei, Sri Aman (Pantu, Lingga, and Sri Aman), and Miri (Subis).
