Messaging app Telegram down for thousands in Singapore

About 3,000 users reported experiencing outage.

SINGAPORE – Thousands of users of messaging app Telegram in Singapore reported experiencing a service outage on Sept 8.

The outage numbers were recorded on Downdetector, a website tracking outages by collating status reports from various sources.

It showed that the number of reports peaked at nearly 4,000, just after 10.30am.

According to the website, about half of the users are experiencing problems with Telegram’s app, 40 per cent are experiencing issues with messaging and five per cent have difficulty logging in.

据该网站称，约有一半的用户在使用 Telegram 应用时遇到问题，40% 的用户遇到消息发送问题，5% 的用户遇到登录困难。
