SBS Transit filed a police report after a man allegedly taped his mobile phone to the rear of a double-decker bus to film content.

Responding to queries from AsiaOne, SBS Transit spokesperson Grace Wu said that the transport operator is aware of the incident.

"We take a very serious view of this incident, which we do not condone, as it may put the safety of the individual and other road users at risk. We have since lodged a police report on the matter," said Wu.

In a video of the incident shared on social media on Sunday (Nov 1), the man, dressed in a black sweater, is seen approaching the rear of an SBS Transit bus and attaching a mobile phone to it using yellow tape.

He then returns to his motorcycle and rides behind the bus, seemingly filming content using the phone attached to the vehicle.

According to the post, the alleged incident took place at around 7am, with its caption reading: "When public transport becomes your film crew. No law was broken."

Based on the surroundings shown in the video, the incident is believed to have taken place at Jalan Besar.

In the comments section, some netizens raised concerns over the potential safety risks of such behaviour, while others questioned whether it was permitted.

"I don't know, but this feels illegal," commented one netizen.

Another added: "Follow bus lane, some fines might be registered to you."

The video has since garnered over 86,300 views as at Monday evening and more than 1,360 likes.
