President Donald Trump on Monday nominated the wife of “God Bless the USA” singer Lee Greenwood to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.

美國總統川普週一提名《天佑美國》原唱李‧格林伍德的妻子，出任美國駐巴貝多及東加勒比海地區大使。

Kimberly Greenwood posted on Instagram a picture with her husband and Trump as she thanked the president for the nomination.

金柏莉‧格林伍德在Instagram貼出一張她和丈夫與川普的合照，感謝總統提名她。

“Mr. President, thank you for believing in me and entrusting me with this extraordinary opportunity to serve,” she wrote.

「總統先生，感謝您信任我，並託付我這個為國服務的非凡機會」，她寫道。

Lee Greenwood is one of Trump’s favorite singers, whose signature patriotic anthem has been his chosen walk-on song at political events for years.

李‧格林伍德是川普最喜愛的歌手之一，他的招牌愛國歌曲多年來一直是川普在政治活動上選用的入場曲。
