Bomb threats hit several flights in Europe, reports say

A series of flights in Europe have been impacted by bomb threats with some forced to divert, reports say, just days after at least seven flights received similar threats .

Aer Lingus confirmed a flight from Dublin to Rome diverted to Normandy in France as a security precaution, while Reuters has also reported that a Finnair flight was escorted to Rome by Italian fighter jets following a bomb alert. Bulgarian media reported emergency landings of three aircraft following bomb threats.

There was no claim of responsibility for Tuesday’s alerts and officials did not attribute blame.
