Elbit America rebrands as Twenty-Six Defense

WASHINGTON— The US arm of Israeli weapons maker Elbit Systems has rebranded as Twenty-Six Defense, the company announced today.

“This evolution reflects the company’s continued focus on supporting its U.S. customers through strong domestic design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities,” the company said in a news release.

Twenty-Six Defense is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and will remain a reportable operating segment of Elbit Systems under a Special Security Agreement, it said.

The US segment of Elbit, which began operating in 1993, employs 3,300 people across 10 states, the company said on its website. It specializes in electronic systems, drones, and ground combat systems, recently teaming with Anduril for the US Army’s self-propelled howitzer competition, which was won by Hanwha .

The new name represents the numeral associated with iron on the periodic table, said Luke Savoie, president and CEO of Twenty-Six Defense.

“Launching Twenty-Six Defense underscores our growth in the American market and reinforces our commitment to supporting U.S. warfighters, wherever the mission takes place,” he said.
