NIBONG TEBAL, Sept 10 — Police discovered a man’s body at a house in Lorong 7, Taman Seri Bistari here today.
Seberang Perai Selatan deputy police chief DSP Mohd Norazmi Abd Ghapar said the deceased’s identity is being verified and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
“Police are conducting further investigations. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he said in a statement last night.
He advised the public not to speculate or spread unverified information that could affect the investigation.
It is understood that the body, believed to be a man in his 50s, was found with hands and feet tied inside a sewage tank behind a single-storey terrace house near the kitchen.
