The cause of death for all five victims of the Long Lellang helicopter crash was confirmed to be severe burn injuries, according to Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah.
The post-mortem examinations, conducted at Miri Hospital, concluded on Thursday evening.
The accident occurred at the Long Lellang STOLport, involving a Flying Doctor Service helicopter carrying five crew members, including the pilot and medical personnel.
MIRI, Sept 11 — The cause of death for all five victims of the Long Lellang helicopter crash on Tuesday was severe burn injuries, said Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah.
When contacted by The Borneo Post, Mohamad Zainal said the post-mortem examinations on the five victims at Miri Hospital began on Thursday morning.
“Post-mortem completed at 7.30pm. (Cause of death) Severe burn injuries due to helicopter crash,” he said.
He also confirmed that severe burn injuries sustained during the helicopter crash were the cause of death for all five victims.
The Flying Doctor Service helicopter crashed at the Long Lellang STOLport at around 3.40pm on Tuesday, with five crew members, including the pilot, on board.
The victims were identified as pilot Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30; medical officer Dr Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, 33; assistant medical officer Alexson Adit Henry, 31; as well as staff nurses Debra Moset, 40, and Jessie Paya Jok, 44. — The Borneo Post

事故发生在龙乐浪短距起降机场，涉及一架飞行医生服务直升机，机上载有五名机组人员，包括飞行员和医务人员。
美里，9月11日讯——砂拉越警察总监拿督莫哈末扎伊纳尔·阿卜杜拉表示，周二龙乐浪直升机坠毁事故中五名遇难者的死因均为严重烧伤。
《婆罗洲邮报》联系到穆罕默德·扎伊纳尔时，他表示，美里医院于周四上午开始对五名遇难者进行尸检。
“尸检于晚上7点30分完成。（死因）直升机坠毁造成的严重烧伤，”他说。
他还证实，直升机坠毁造成的严重烧伤是导致五名遇难者全部死亡的原因。
周二下午 3 点 40 分左右，一架皇家飞行医生服务队的直升机在龙乐浪短距起降机场坠毁，机上共有五名机组人员，包括飞行员。
遇难者身份已确认，分别为：30岁的飞行员扎伊诺尔·阿菲克·比·沙姆上尉；33岁的医务官艾努尔·巴拉·卡马鲁丁医生；31岁的助理医务官亚历克森·阿迪特·亨利；以及40岁的护士黛布拉·莫塞特和44岁的护士杰西·帕亚·乔克。——《婆罗洲邮报》
