North Korea is completing work on its section of the long-stalled New Yalu River bridge with China, suggesting an imminent opening after more than a decade of delays, a South Korean analytics firm said on Wednesday.

南韓一家分析公司週三表示，北韓正在完成與中國共同建造、長期停工的新鴨綠江大橋北韓段工程；意味著這座已延宕超過十年的大橋，通車指日可待。

The work follows Beijing’s efforts since late 2025 to draw Pyongyang back into its fold, after the pandemic froze exchanges and leader Kim Jong Un deepened ties with Moscow.

此工程展開之際，適逢北京自2025年底以來努力將平壤重新拉回其陣營；此前疫情凍結雙邊往來，領導人金正恩也加深與莫斯科的關係。

Structural work on a customs and immigration facility on the North Korean side of the 3-km long bridge will be nearly complete early in September, said SI Analytics, a company that processes satellite images.

專門處理衛星影像的公司SI Analytics表示，在這座全長3公里的大橋的北韓側，海關與出入境設施的結構工程將於9月初接近完工。

"Utilising its signature ’speed battle’ tactical campaign, North Korea has effectively executed in just four months a project that had been stalled for 12 years," it said in a report that analysed satellite images of the area.

該公司在一份分析當地衛星影像的報告中指出：「北韓運用其招牌的『速度戰』戰術行動，在短短四個月內有效推進了這項已停擺12年的工程。」
