Forty-nine individuals are under investigation after an enforcement operation conducted by multiple agencies in the vicinity of Geylang, the police said on Friday (Sept 11).
Among them, 36 are men and 13 are women, with ages ranging from 16 to 70.
The operation, conducted between Aug 24 and Sept 10, was led by the Bedok Police Division and saw participation from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Health Sciences Authority (HSA), Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Singapore Customs, Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
These were part of efforts to clamp down on illegal activities in Geylang, the police said.
From Aug 27 to 29, the Bedok Police Division worked with HSA, ICA and CNB to conduct a joint enforcement against the sale of illegal health products and drug-related activities in the Geylang area.
The operation yielded cough syrup, sexual enhancement products, vaporisers and etomidate pods, estimated to be worth around $54,000 in total.
Two people were arrested under the Tobacco and Vaporiser Control Act and are also being investigated for offences under the Health Products Act.
Two men and a woman, aged 32 to 37, were arrested for suspected drug-related offences.
Between Aug 24 and Sept 2, police conducted multiple operations against vice and secret societies-related activities.
Three women, aged 41 to 53, were arrested for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.
Singapore Customs officers also seized 1,346 sticks of duty-unpaid cigarettes on Aug 27 in Geylang.
Eighteen individuals, aged between 24 and 61, were issued composition sums under the Customs Act.
The Bedok Police Division also conducted enforcement operation at a message establishment and one other location in Geylang.
Seven women aged between 30 and 47 were arrested for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.
The establishment, along with the owner of the other premise, are assisting with investigations.
LTA also nabbed 13 individuals aged between 18 and 70 under the Active Mobility Act amid operations against illegally modified personal mobility devices and power-assisted bicycles.
One mobility device and eight bicycles were subsequently impounded.
On Aug 30, CNB, ICA and Bedok Police Division officers conduct a five-hotel operation in Geylang.
One individual was arrested for failure to attend in obedience to an order from a public servant, while another was arrested for forgery.
A suspect was also arrested for an offence of theft by servant and for remaining unlawfully in Singapore.
SFA officers conducted operations against illegal street hawking near the Geylang lorongs on Thursday (Sept 10).
Second-hand goods were seized during the operation and a 46-year-old man was investigated for offences under the Environmental Public Health Act.
Superintendent of Police Letts Tan commented that the police will continue to work closely with relevant agencies in enforcing the law against illegal activities in Geylang.
"Such activities will not be tolerated, and firm actions will be taken against those who blatantly disregard the law. Members of the public are advised to report those engaging in unlawful activities to the police," he stated.

8月24日至9月2日期间，警方开展了多次打击卖淫和秘密社团相关活动的行动。
三名年龄在 41 岁至 53 岁之间的女性因涉嫌参与卖淫活动而被捕。
8月27日，新加坡海关官员在芽笼查获了1346支未缴税香烟。
根据《海关法》，18 名年龄介于 24 岁至 61 岁之间的个人被处以罚款。
勿洛警署还在芽笼的一家信息中心和另一处地点进行了执法行动。
七名年龄在 30 岁至 47 岁之间的女性因涉嫌参与卖淫活动而被捕。
该场所及其另一处场所的所有者正在协助调查。
陆路交通管理局在打击非法改装个人代步工具和电动辅助自行车的行动中，根据《积极出行法》逮捕了 13 名年龄在 18 岁至 70 岁之间的人员。
随后，一辆代步车和八辆自行车被扣押。
8月30日，中央肃毒局、移民与关卡局和勿洛警署的警员在芽笼对五家酒店展开行动。
一人因未服从公务人员的命令而被捕，另一人因伪造罪而被捕。
一名嫌疑人还因佣人盗窃罪和非法滞留新加坡罪被捕。
新加坡食品局官员于星期四（9月10日）在芽笼巷附近开展了打击非法街头兜售的行动。
行动中查获了二手商品，并对一名 46 岁男子因违反《环境公共卫生法》展开调查。
警司陈立雄表示，警方将继续与相关机构密切合作，在芽笼地区严厉打击非法活动。
“此类行为绝不容忍，我们将对公然藐视法律者采取严厉措施。我们呼吁公众向警方举报任何从事非法活动的人。”他说道。
