A patch of vegetation near the junction of Bukit Panjang Ring Road and Fajar Road caught fire on Thursday (Sept 3) afternoon, prompting firefighters to respond and extinguish the blaze.
A Facebook video uploaded by user Issey Ikemen on Thursday shows a large, open patch of vegetation with thick clouds of white smoke billowing into the air.
The post captioned: "Happening this afternoon at Bukit Panjang. We must give and take, they say."
At least one light fire attack vehicle and two police cars can be seen at the scene.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted at about 4.30pm to a fire near the junction of Bukit Panjang Ring Road and Fajar Road.
The fire involved a patch of vegetation measuring about 30 metres by 20 metres and was extinguished using a water jet, added SCDF.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

现场至少可以看到一辆轻型消防车和两辆警车。
针对 AsiaOne 的询问，新加坡民防部队 (SCDF) 表示，下午 4 点 30 分左右接到报警，称武吉班让环路和法嘉路交界处附近发生火灾。
新加坡民防部队补充说，火灾涉及一片约 30 米乘 20 米的植被，已用水枪扑灭。
据报道，无人受伤，火灾原因正在调查中。
