Health Minister leads funeral prayers for helicopter crash victim Dr Ainul Baraah

The funeral prayers for Dr. Ainul Baraah Kamarudin, a medical officer, were led by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad at Al Karomah Mosque, attended by over 1,000 people.

This included senior officials and family members, following her tragic death in a helicopter crash in Long Lellang, which claimed five lives.

Dr. Ainul's remains arrived earlier in Pengkalan Chepa from Miri, Sarawak, via a Royal Malaysian Air Force aircraft.

The deceased's family expressed their gratitude for the support and prayers received from the community and officials.

KOTA BHARU, Sept 13 — Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad led the funeral prayers for medical officer, the late Dr Ainul Baraah Kamarudin, 33, at Al Karomah Mosque in Mukim Baung Besar, Pengkalan Chepa, here at 1.37 pm today.

The prayers were attended by over 1,000 congregants, including Ministry of Health (MOH) secretary-general Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad, Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, Kelantan State Health director Dr Kasuadi Hussin, as well as the deceased’s family members and friends.

The deceased’s father, Kamarudin Salleh, 69, said he and his family had granted permission for Dr Dzulkefly to lead the funeral prayers as a mark of respect.

“I wish to express my gratitude to the Health Minister and the public—including relatives and friends—for their constant prayers and for keeping my late daughter in their thoughts,” he said.

Earlier, a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) special aircraft carrying Dr Ainul Baraah’s remains from Miri, Sarawak, arrived at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport, Pengkalan Chepa, at 11.21 am.

The crash on Tuesday claimed the lives of all five individuals on board the BO-105 helicopter operated by Layang-Layang Aerospace after it crashed near the end of the Long Lellang STOLport runway at approximately 3.40 pm.

卫生部长拿督斯里祖基菲里艾哈迈德 (Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad) 在卡罗马清真寺 (Al Karomah Mosque) 主持了医务人员艾努巴拉卡马鲁丁 (Ainul Baraah Kamarudin) 医生的葬礼祈祷活动，共有 1,000 多人参加。

在她于龙乐浪直升机坠毁事故中不幸身亡后，其中包括高级官员和她的家人，那次事故造成五人死亡。

早些时候，马来西亚皇家空军（RMAF）一架特种飞机从砂拉越美里载着艾努巴拉博士的遗体，于上午11点21分抵达Pengkalan Chepa的苏丹伊斯梅尔佩特拉机场。
