Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia has concluded his participation in the 18th BRICS Leaders Summit in New Delhi and is now visiting Keralam for the second leg of his working visit to India.

During his time in the coastal town of Kozhikode, he is scheduled to meet the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, as well as the Chief Minister Thiru V.

Satheesan and Governor Thiru Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to discuss topics such as community development and interfaith harmony.

Following this visit, Prime Minister Anwar will travel to the Maldives on September 14.

NEW DELHI, Sept 13 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim departed for India’s Southern State, Keralam (renamed from Kerala) for his second and final leg of his working visit in India after participating in the 18th Brics’ Leaders Summit here.

The aircraft carrying the Prime Minister departed the Air Force Station (AFS) Palam, New Delhi at 2.15pm local time (4.45pm Malaysian Time) to Kozhikode (Calicut), Keralam.

At the coastal town, Anwar will meet with the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, to exchange perspectives on community development, educational advancement, and interfaith harmony.

As part of the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet the Chief Minister Thiru V. D. Satheesan and Governor of Kerala Thiru Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.
