Vice President JD Vance on Monday questioned why AI industry leaders are calling for more regulation, warning it could amount to a “Trojan horse” by companies that could benefit from new restrictions. His comments come after President Donald Trump pushed back on calls for guardrails on AI development, saying his priority is leading China in the AI race.
