SINGAPORE – A lorry driver was trapped in his seat after an accident between two vehicles in Loyang Avenue on Sept 16 .
In response to queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to a road traffic accident involving two lorries along Loyang Avenue towards Tampines Avenue 9 at about 10.55am on Sept 16 . SCDF freed a person who was found trapped in the driver’s seat of a lorry using hydraulic rescue equipment . The 58-year-old lorry driver and his 46-year-old male passenger were taken conscious to Changi General Hospital.
Footage posted on Reddit of the scene shows a lorry bearing the logo of EBS Logistics partially mounted on a kerb. A traffic light can be seen lying on the road.
Police investigations are ongoing.
The Straits Times has contacted EBS Logistics and the Land Transport Authority for comment.

新加坡——9月16日，洛阳大道发生两车相撞事故，一名货车司机被困在座位上。
针对公众询问，警方和新加坡民防部队（SCDF）表示，他们于9月16日上午10点55分左右接到报警，称在洛阳大道往淡滨尼9道方向发生一起涉及两辆货车的交通事故。民防部队使用液压救援设备救出了一名被困在货车驾驶座上的人员。这名58岁的货车司机和46岁的男性乘客意识清醒，已被送往樟宜综合医院。
Reddit上发布的现场视频显示，一辆印有EBS物流公司标志的卡车部分车身卡在路缘石上。可以看到一个交通信号灯横倒在路上。
警方调查仍在进行中。
《海峡时报》已联系EBS物流公司和陆路交通管理局征求意见。
