Sept 17 (Reuters) - US coach MauricioPochettino is betting on youth for the nation's upcoming friendlies against Peru, Chile, Mexico and Canada, with Christian Pulisic among the big names absent from the 28-man squad unveiled on Thursday.
Pochettino is beginning a new chapter with the team after agreeing to lead them through to the 2030 World Cup earlier this year. He has called up 13 uncapped players alongside veterans for the country's first matches since this summer's World Cup, where they bowed out in the round of 16 on home soil.
