Philippines says Chinese ship 'rammed' government vessel in South China Sea

MANILA: The Philippines said a China Coast Guard ship "rammed" one of its fisheries department boats on Friday (Sept 18) morning in contested waters in the South China Sea.

The incident took place near a shoal in the contested Spratly Islands chain, a fish-rich flashpoint that has been the site of violent confrontations with China Coast Guard vessels in recent years.

马尼拉：菲律宾方面称，9月18日（星期五）上午，一艘中国海警船在南海争议水域“撞击”了菲律宾渔业部门的一艘船只。
