KORONADAL CITY, Philippines: The suspect in the Banga National High School shooting in South Cotabato is the son of a Department of Education (DepEd) worker, who is also the owner of the pistol used in the crime on Friday afternoon (Sept 18), the town mayor said Saturday.
The Glock 9mm pistol used in the campus shooting in Banga National High School in South Cotabato and the shoe owned by the alleged shooter in front of the classroom where the shooting occurred on Friday (Sept. 18, 2026). As the investigation is ongoing, Banga Municipal Mayor Albert Palencia withheld the identity of the DepEd employee and his son.
