KATHMANDU: Nepal earned more than 5.09 billion Nepali rupees (US$33.11 million) from electricity exports to India and Bangladesh from mid-August to mid-September, according to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

KATHMANDU: Nepal earned more than 5.09 billion Nepali rupees (US$33.11 million) from electricity exports to India and Bangladesh from mid-August to mid-September, according to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The country exported a total of 565.6 million units of electricity during the month through bilateral agreements and India's electricity exchange market despite the Aug. 26 flood in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers damaging a dozen hydropower projects, the state-owned power utility said on Saturday.
