Child among four Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza

Israeli attacks on Palestinians continue in Gaza despite a ‘ceasefire’ signed in October.

At least four Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza, including an 11-year-old boy shot dead by Israeli forces in the al-Mawasi “safe zone” in southern Gaza.

Officials at Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis said the body of a child, Ismail al-Bardawil, was brought to the medical facility on Monday after Israeli tanks opened fire on tents for displaced people in the al-Mawasi area.

Mahmoud Basal, the spokesman for Gaza’s Civil Defence agency, which operates as a rescue force, said the child was 11 years old.

“Ismail al-Bardawil was shot in his chest,” Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum reported from central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah city. “We have received updates from Gaza’s Health Ministry. The boy sustained critical injuries, and later, his injuries proved fatal.”

Officials at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City said a man, Mohsen Ahmed Bahjat, died after being shot in the head by a drone in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

In a separate incident near Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, a woman was killed after Israeli troops opened fire. Al Jazeera’s Abu Azzoum said she was a 31-year-old mother who was shot in the head by Israeli tanks in Bureij refugee camp.

“She was preparing her kids for school and went to deliver them to school. On her way back, she was shot by Israeli forces,” he said. Officials at the al-Awda Hospital identified the victim as Fidaa Toutah.

Hours later, a Palestinian man was killed by an Israeli drone in the centre of Khan Younis city.

Killings despite ‘ceasefire’

“This is the bleak reality for most of displaced families while living close to the presence of the Israeli military, and these air strikes are still imposing the genuine threat for hundreds of thousands of people who thought that the ceasefire could [bring] them a sense of protection,” Abu Azzoum said.

While a “ceasefire” agreement between Israel and Hamas was signed in October 2025, no withdrawal of Israeli troops has taken place, and attacks on Palestinians have continued.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has documented the deaths of 1,394 people and injuries to 4,839 since the “ceasefire” came into force.

At least 73,914 people have been killed since Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023.

“她当时正在送孩子上学，途中被以色列军队枪杀，”他说。奥达医院的官员确认死者为菲达·图塔。

数小时后，一名巴勒斯坦男子在汗尤尼斯市中心被以色列无人机炸死。

尽管达成了“停火协议”，但仍有杀戮事件发生。

阿布·阿祖姆说：“对于大多数流离失所的家庭来说，生活在以色列军队附近，这就是残酷的现实。这些空袭仍然对数十万原本以为停火可以给他们带来安全感的人们构成真正的威胁。”

尽管以色列和哈马斯于 2025 年 10 月签署了“停火”协议，但以色列军队并未撤出，对巴勒斯坦人的袭击仍在继续。

自“停火”生效以来，巴勒斯坦卫生部记录在案的死亡人数为 1394 人，受伤人数为 4839 人。
