KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 — Police are investigating the escalating royal dispute in Negeri Sembilan from all angles following multiple police reports lodged on the matter, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said.

Saifuddin said that while operational details remain confidential, security forces are strictly focused on preserving public order, averting street confrontations, and safeguarding the public, NST reported.

“The police have taken preventive security measures to ensure no gatherings could lead to confrontations.

“They are looking at every angle,” he said

Saifuddin affirmed that he is leaving it entirely to the police to complete their probe before determining whether to submit the investigation papers to the Attorney General’s Chambers for further instruction.

Addressing Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s position on purported moves to unseat the Negeri Sembilan Ruler, Saifuddin noted that the prime minister views any attempt to depose a hereditary sovereign as a matter of utmost gravity under Malaysia’s constitutional monarchy.
