WASHINGTON (AFP): Donald Trump will host Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the White House on Thursday (Sept 24) for a day full of pageantry, as the US president sought to set the agenda by saying that both sides agreed no new controls were needed on fast-evolving AI technology.

WASHINGTON (AFP): Donald Trump will host Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the White House on Thursday (Sept 24) for a day full of pageantry, as the US president sought to set the agenda by saying that both sides agreed no new controls were needed on fast-evolving AI technology.
Trump personally greeted Xi on the tarmac on Wednesday, the first time in more than six decades that a US president has welcomed a foreign political leader at Joint Base Andrews near Washington.
