Temperatures dipped amid the wet weather, reaching a low of 20.8 deg C in the vicinity of Clementi Road, according to data from the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS).
Elsewhere, temperatures across the island were below 24 deg C, with Scotts Road (22.3 deg C) and Kim Chuan Road (22.4 deg C) recording the next lowest temperatures.
The lowest temperature officially recorded in Singapore was 19.4 deg C on Jan 30 and Jan 31, 1934.
Earlier on Sunday morning, the MSS issued a heavy rain warning, notifying that the weather is expected to last till the early afternoon.
In its bi-weekly weather update on Sept 16, the weatherman had said that localised short-duration thundery showers are expected between the late morning and afternoon over most parts of the island on most days.
The agency added that widespread moderate to thundery showers — caused by regional convergence of winds — is expected on one or two days.
On Sept 22, similar weather conditions resulted in brief flash floods , lasting about 10 minutes, at King's Road and Prince Road in Bukit Timah.
Meanwhile, the thundery showers have also led to improved air quality in the country, with one-hour PM2.5 concentration reading in the normal band across all five regions at 1pm.
The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) ranged from 91 to 131 — in the moderate to unhealthy range — with central (131), eastern (119) and western (104) Singapore recording readings in the unhealthy range.
