When asked by Jake Tapper whether the North Carolina Senate race is a lost cause for Republicans, retiring Senator Thom Tillis said, “This has to be about the higher purpose of keeping a majority in the Senate, not any one candidate…. It’s approaching a point where it’s going to be difficult to make it up, absent a mistake by the candidates.”
