A Democrat hasn’t come within nine points of winning a Senate race in South Carolina this century, but pediatrician Dr. Annie Andrews thinks she can beat GOP Sen. Darlene Graham and turn the seat blue. Graham has called Andrews radical over some of her policy positions, like supporting non-surgical gender affirming care for children. But Andrews says she is laser focused on affordability, saying “what’s so radical about believing if you are a hard working South Carolinian you should be able to afford your grocery bill.”
