Bukit Aman JPJKK director Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin was the top recipient of Pahang state awards at the Sultan of Pahang's 67th birthday ceremony.

Seven individuals, including company leaders and government officials, were conferred the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP), which includes the title Datuk Seri.

The investiture also saw the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) awarded to 32 recipients, while other awards like the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) were also distributed.

KUANTAN, Oct 1 — Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) director Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin heads the list of 58 recipients of Pahang state awards and medals in conjunction with the 67th birthday of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

Al-Sultan Abdullah officiated the investiture ceremony at Balai Mahkota, Istana Abdulaziz, here today, with the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, and the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, also in attendance.

Also present were Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and the state government leadership.

Noor Hisam, who is also a former Deputy Chief of Pahang Police, received the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP), which carries the title of Datuk Seri.

Al-Sultan Abdullah also conferred the SSAP on six other recipients, namely National Heart Institute (IJN) chief research and innovation officer and senior consultant anaesthesiologist Professor Datuk Suhaini Kadiman, as well as Tenaga Nasional Bhd president and chief executive officer Datuk Shamsul Ahmad.

Also receiving the SSAP were Engtex Group Bhd group executive director Datuk Ng Chooi Guan, Far East (Melaka) Sdn Bhd chairman and executive director Datuk Ling Kah Chok, Low Capital Sdn Bhd director Professor Dr Kevin Low Lock Teng, and Palz Group of Companies chairman S.S. Sathiaseelan.

The Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP), which carries the title of Datuk, was conferred on 11 recipients, including former national badminton player and coach Sairul Amar Ayob and Water Supply Department director-general Datuk Anita Mohamed Shafie.

Ministry of Finance Legal Division Treasury solicitor Kamal Azira Hassan, Third Infantry Division commander Major General Datuk Sani S. Omar, and Accountant General’s Department deputy accountant-general (Operations) Ayub Zaidin also received the DSAP.

Meanwhile, Pahang Royal Polo Club field supervisor Tengku Suleiman Tengku Abdul Rahman was among 32 recipients of the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP), which carries the title of Datuk, alongside Tengku Akashah Tengku Hussain and Pahang Women’s Development Council (Rompin District) chairwoman Datin Samsiah Arshad.

Also receiving the DIMP were Pahang Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Mohd Shukor Mahmud, Pahang Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) director First Admiral (Maritime) Mazlan Mat Rejab, and General Operations Force Southeast Brigade commander SAC Ahmad Radzi Hussain.

Other DIMP recipients included senior private secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister II Mohammad Faizal Abdul Rahim, senior private secretary to the Minister of Human Resources Firdaus Farid Abd Rashid, Pahang Menteri Besar political secretary Mohd Farid Mohd Nor, and Sultan Ahmad 1 State Mosque in Kuantan Chief Imam Mohd Rizzal Mohd Ali Nafiah.

In addition, former national footballer See Kim Seng, sports commentator Abu Bakar Atan and singer Wan Aminuddin Wan Ismail, better known as Ameng Spring, also received the DIMP.

At the ceremony, His Royal Highness also consented to confer the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) on five recipients, including Rompin police chief Supt Sharif Shai Sharif Mondoi, while the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) was conferred on one recipient and the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) on two others. — Bernama
