The New York Times obtained more than 1,000 pages of internal material from Cornell University’s investigation into an alleged 2024 fraternity gang rape. The contents of the New York Times report were corroborated to CNN by Jane Doe’s attorney, who adds “we were not responsible for leaking these documents.” Debra Kamin, the investigative reporter who broke this story, tells Erin Burnett, “when she saw someone else describe what happened to her as a gang rape… and [had to] grapple with what that might mean and what she would have to do with that knowledge.”
