Zetrix AI Berhad has proposed a solution to the Malaysian government to address RM314 million in unpaid remittances, following the suspension of its Road Transport Department collection services.
The company's immediate priority is to resolve these outstanding obligations and restore services, pending necessary approvals.
Authorities had issued multiple reminders and engaged with the company before suspending its services.
Despite the suspension, other channels like the MyJPJ app and JPJ Public Portal remain available for public transactions, while legal action is being considered to recover the full amount.
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 — Zetrix AI Berhad has submitted a proposal to the Malaysian government to address outstanding remittances after authorities suspended its Road Transport Department (JPJ) collection services over RM314 million in unpaid government revenue.
The technology company said in a statement yesterday that resolving the outstanding obligations was its immediate priority, while efforts to restore the affected services would be subject to the relevant approvals.
“Zetrix AI has submitted a proposed solution to the Government of Malaysia to address the outstanding remittances for their consideration,” it said.
“The Group’s immediate priority is to resolve these obligations and work towards restoring the affected services, subject to the relevant approvals.”
The company did not disclose details of the proposed solution.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke said yesterday that My E.G. Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI, both under the MYEG Group, had failed to remit RM314 million in government revenue collected between May 19 and September 30.
He said the authorities had issued 35 reminders and engaged the companies since May in an attempt to recover the outstanding funds before their services as government revenue collection agents were suspended.
Loke said MYEG had also issued a cheque for RM231 million dated September 30, but the payment could not be processed by the bank following instructions from the company.
“Therefore, the Ministry of Transport and the Road Transport Department had to take the drastic step of suspending payment services through MyEG and Zetrix AI from today,” he said at a press conference yesterday.
The ministry and JPJ will also initiate legal action to recover the full RM314 million, Loke said.
Zetrix AI, meanwhile, expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the suspension, which took effect on October 5.
“As a provider of JPJ services since 2000, we understand the importance of ensuring these essential services remain accessible, reliable and convenient for the public,” it said.
“The Group recognises its responsibility to customers and remains committed to fulfilling its obligations to the Government.”
The company also assured customers who had used the affected JPJ services before the suspension that their transactions had already been processed and fulfilled.
Loke said the suspension would not disrupt JPJ services more broadly, with transactions still available through alternatives including the MyJPJ app, JPJ Public Portal, counters and kiosks.
JPJ had announced on October 2 that services provided by MyEG and Zetrix AI as collection agents would be suspended from 12.01am on October 5 following non-compliance with the terms of their agreements.
Zetrix AI, formerly known as MY E.G. Services Berhad, began operations in 2000 as a provider of electronic government services and has since expanded into blockchain and artificial intelligence services.

Zetrix AI Berhad
