President Donald Trump has approved the use of a firing squad for the execution of Nidal Hasan, who was convicted of killing 13 people and wounding dozens of others in the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood in Texas. It would be the US Army’s first such execution of a soldier since World War II and the first imposition of any death penalty on an armed service member in 65 years.

Audio obtained by ABC News reveals excerpts of a conversation between Jane Doe and another Chi Phi fraternity member, she alleges took part in the 2024 alleged assault on her. The broadcast on ABC’s “Good Morning America” did not include audio of the alleged victim, known as Jane Doe. Her portion of the conversation was quoted in the report.
