JAKARTA: (Bernama) Forest and land fires in Indonesia persisted, with 1,201 high-confidence hotspots recorded nationwide on Wednesday (Oct 7), down by 158 from the previous day.
The Forestry Ministry said Central Kalimantan recorded 182 hotspots, the highest among the six priority provinces, followed by South Sumatra (71), West Kalimantan (34), Jambi (21) and South Kalimantan (18), while Riau recorded none.

林业部表示，中加里曼丹省记录了 182 个热点地区，在六个优先省份中数量最多，其次是南苏门答腊省（71 个）、西加里曼丹省（34 个）、占碑省（21 个）和南加里曼丹省（18 个），而廖内省则没有记录到热点地区。
