从定向能武器到人工智能和加固措施,JIATF-401正在拓宽反无人机系统的选择范围。

The counter-UAS fight increasingly requires having enough different ways to detect, track, and defeat drones to match the threat, terrain, mission, and cost of an engagement. That is pushing the Pentagon toward a layered approach that includes lower-cost sensing, kinetic and non-kinetic effectors, directed energy, artificial intelligence, and physical protection.

In this editorial eBRIEF , Breaking Defense examines how JIATF-401, led by Brig. Gen. Matthew Ross, is widening those options: testing lasers and high-power microwaves in operational settings, using AI to speed decision-making and testing, opening new paths for industry, and applying lessons from Ukraine showing that sometimes hardening, dispersion, or other infrastructure changes can be as valuable as another counter-drone system.
