Will COE premiums for cars fall if there is just o ne COE category for cars, with tiered surcharge or rebate depending on the vehicle ’s open market value? These are some changes that the Land Transport Authority (LTA) proposed on Oct 8 as part of a review of the COE system for cars.

This comes as the gap between Category A and B premiums has narrowed, making the distinction between mass-market and higher-end cars less clear.

如果汽车拥车证（COE）只设一个类别，并根据车辆的公开市场价值实行分级附加费或折扣，那么汽车拥车证的溢价是否会下降？这是陆路交通管理局（LTA）于10月8日提出的汽车拥车证制度审查方案中的一些修改建议。

随着 A 类和 B 类汽车溢价之间的差距缩小，大众市场汽车和高端汽车之间的区别变得不那么明显。
