Creative industry players are calling on the government to maintain and enhance existing funds and incentives in the upcoming Budget 2027, while reviewing television programme production rates, which they say are no longer realistic amid rising costs.
Malaysian Film Producers Association deputy president Datuk Dr Yusof Haslam said government incentives and assistance should be maintained without cuts to safeguard the sustainability of the local creative industry ecosystem.
